The collaboration between soprano Elene Gvritishvili and pianist Alexey Pudinov brings together two distinctive musical voices whose artistic paths span some of Europe’s vibrant cultural centers.
A rising star of the international opera and concert stage, Elene Gvritishvili — a graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, a former member of the Bolshoi Theatre’s Young Artist Programme and currently a member of the Opera Studio of the Bayerische Staatsoper — has appeared at leading venues including the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Salzburg Festspielhaus, the Mozarteum Salzburg, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and the Philharmonie de Paris. Known for the expressive depth and luminous beauty of her voice, she combines operatic brilliance with a strong sensitivity to chamber repertoire.
Their collaboration grew from a shared fascination with poetic and introspective music and began with Valentin Silvestrov’s cycle Silent Songs, which led to a recording released by Kaleidos Musikedition and praised for its intimate musical atmosphere. Uniting Gvritishvili’s vocal artistry with Pudinov’s refined pianistic palette, the duo creates performances of striking emotional intensity, moving between Russian and European song traditions and contemporary repertoire, bringing audiences into a sound world where poetry, silence and expression meet.
